FAQs - Students & Homestay Guests

We have homestay hosts in Vancouver and the suburbs of North Vancouver, West Vancouver, Burnaby and Richmond.

Homestay includes

  • A furnished private bedroom with bed, dresser, desk, linen and towels.
  • Choice of meal plans: Half Board - (two daily meals: breakfast and dinner) or Full Board (three daily meals: breakfast, packed lunch and dinner).
  • Internet access.

- The Placement Fee to arrange your homestay and Airport Transfer Fees can be paid by credit card or PayPal through this website, or by wire transfer.

- Homestay Fees can be paid directly to your host family by cash or cheque, or by credit card or PayPal through this website, or by wire transfer.

1. Complete the Student Application Form.

2. Pay the Homestay Placement Fee by credit card or PayPal (or by wire transfer, ask for details)

We usually send your host family's profile about four weeks before your scheduled arrival in Vancouver. If you apply less than four weeks before your arrival, you can expect to receive the profile within three or four business days.

If you choose our optional airport pickup service, you will be met at the airport and driven to your homestay. You can also take a taxi or use the Canada Line train and transfer to a public city bus.

If you are not happy with your homestay we will arrange another homestay for you:

  • If you have paid your weekly/monthly homestay fee through us, you have up to 5 days after your arrival to request a change.
  • If you are paying your weekly/monthly homestay fee directly to your host, you have up to 3 days after your arrival to request a change.
